      This is the 3 AMP version of the Sprintmag with NEO (rare-earth) magnet assembly. 

      This model replaces the now obsolete Sprintmag III. All the same parts and pieces as the Sprintmag II but with more output and the fancy magnet. 

      Excellent dependability in a small form-factor, constant duty magneto. 3.0 amps of primary output and 32-38 milliamps of current with the red topped 28900A transformer. If you're a PUSH-START Sprintcar, you might consider running the 28990 black-topped coil with the Sprintmag+ and enjoy 42-46 milliamps of current at the sparkplug. If you use a block-mounted starter and crank your engine, it is recommended you stay with the 28900A to ensure easy starting. 

      This system is ready to go, outfitted with the small cap, lower drive and coil of your choice, plus a 4' long harness ready to trim-to-fit.

      Since we're building these drives now instead of Mallory, we've made a design change that everyone likes. Instead of the pins and rubber coupler to join the mag to the drive, we've gone to the popular, proven cross arrangement. The drive now contains a steel female cross welded to the high-strength shaft. We've also included a new steel cross and hardware for the mag.

      We also offer a choice of gear. The default gear will be bronze, however, bronze is recommended for roller cams and cast iron for flat tappet cams.

      Select your choice of lower drive below. We have drives for many other engines. If you don't see what you need, call! Your selection of lower drive determines the rotation of the magneto. Other mag drivers, cap/rotor options and severe-duty points available as well as a 4 cylinder version.
