IF YOU WANT TO USE AN ACCESSORY PULLEY ON THE BLOWER HUB INSIDE THE SUPPORT CHOOSE THE "EXTENDED" OPTION 

The Blower will try to pull the Crankshaft up into the upper main bearing without a support , often breaking off the snout of a small block crankshaft  -  This helps that issue by putting the crankshaft in a more neutral  support fashion.  Sort of like having a 6th main bearing.
