Float Switch for our surge tank where float goes in the TOP
This float switch is fitted into your front mounted surge tank if you are also using a rear mounted main fuel tank.
Transferring fuel to the front tank needs be done correctly.
Using the float switch stops problems such as overflow spills, pump cavitation or starvation.
Mechanical fuel systems require a good breathing surge tank.
MUST USE A RELAY we have the relay- type relay in the search bar TO SEE IT
12 volt positive from key or fuel pump on/off switch will land on terminal 86
12 volt positive with large enough wire to support fuel pump needs will land on 30.
87a will run to 12 volt positive on fuel pump itself. Ground of fuel pump can be run to battery or chassis if chassis is grounded.
Ground will need to be supplied from battery or chassis to level switch in tank. Other lead of level switch will land on terminal 85.
In many cases you have to connect 30 and 86 together to complete the wiring.
The float switch controls your electric transfer pump on & off as the tank is filled.
